Islamabad: PTI Chairman Imran Khan has challenged the Army Act and Official Secrets Act in the Supreme Court.

A constitutional petition was filed on behalf of PTI Chairman in the Supreme Court under Article 184/3, and this constitutional petition was filed by Advocate Shaheen, in which the Federation, President, Ministry of Interior, and Secretary National Assembly have been made parties.

The petition argues that the Official Secrets Act and the Army Amendment Act are in conflict with fundamental human rights, and the power to search secret agencies under the Official Secrets Act without a warrant is unconstitutional. The District and Sessions Court heard the case against PTI Chairman for the Long March and Dharna until November 16.

In the Long March and Dharna case, Imran Khan was summoned to court from Superintendent Adiala Jail. Details reveal that the District and Sessions Courts had issued a production order for Imran Khan during the Long March's turmoil. The District and Sessions Courts heard cases related to protests and clashes involving Imran Khan and others.

Chief Justice Ihtesham Alam presided over the court, with lawyer Naeem Panjutha representing Imran Khan. Imran Khan was presented in court, and British requests were filed. Lawyer Naeem Panjutha stated that documents and evidence should be presented in the presence of Imran Khan. In the absence of Imran Khan, a fair trial cannot proceed. Imran Khan was unlawfully arrested, and he is detained in Attock Jail in the Saafar case. Superintendent Attock Jail should be ordered to present Imran Khan in court. He also stated that I do not consider any strike valid; the hearings will proceed according to the law. Judge Ihtesham Alam reserved the decision on PTI Chairman's request.
